Rusty Barn & A Snowstorm . . . Maybe
Took a drive over to Archbold to photograph this old rusty, corrugated steel sided barn. It is next to the railroad tracks a couple blocks east of the main street through town. Then I thought I'd photograph an old barn that that has been renovated with steel siding and a steel roof. The renovated barns look good and will last a long time, but they don't have the nostalgic look that the wood sided ones have, but at least the timber framing will be preserved. Well, of course, I couldn't find a renovated barn to photograph. There are several in the area, but I couldn't find them today. Sooooo, all you get to look at today is the rusty barn.
This AM the National Weather Service put out a 'special weather statement' saying we could get a significant amount of snow beginning Monday evening. Late this PM, they put out a winter storm watch. They say people on the south side of a line running from Rochester IN to Defiance OH could get 6-9" of snow. People on the north side of the line could get 9-12" of snow. i'm probably 15 miles north of the line. Gonna be some wind too. I always feel 'gypped' when these predictions don't come true. Been a while since what was predicted and what happened was anywhere close. This could be the big one !!
I'm ready . . . the snow blower is working good and I really don't have to be anywhere till my March chiropractor appointment.
