Wind Shear . . .

 photo shear_zpsf45ee6ab.jpg
This is a still of some serious wind shear takin place above Bryan.  I don't know why I didn't shoot a video.  I guess it is because I'm more of a still photographer than a videographer.  Anyway, the lower cumulus are headed north lickety split and the higher cumulus clouds and the contrail is headed south equally lickety split.  I'm thinkin the weather people are right on when they are predicting some heavy weather later today.

This probably the beginning of the end of my nicer Redbud.  Redbuds seem to get to a certain size and start splitting.  The one on the ground behind it didn't make it through the winter.  The spot is a chunk of dirt on the camera lens.

I was at one of the local hardware stores earlier this AM.  This hardware almost always has cats and dogs from the local shelter up for adoption.  Last winter they built a covered cage for a parrot.  I noticed that they added a good sized turtle.  His shell must be at least 12".  Don't know if either is up for adoption.

This cat was out of the cat cage, so I'm wonderin if he is the 'store cat.'  They had a 'store dog' several years ago.  Rebel was a very friendly black lab.  When he heard little kids in the store he went to them and laid down and let them fuss over him.  A nearby older couple always took him home at closing time and brought him back in the morning.  I think everyone in town knew Rebel.  He passed away a couple years ago.
