Tuesday, February 16. . .

My cat, Patches T. Cat, seems to be feeling a bit better today. Last night she slept in the closet, behind the door, which means she was feeling really bad. This AM she asked to be brushed. Sometimes she demands it, but today I was glad she asked. Around noon she wanted something to eat. Been nibblin away all day on what I gave her. So whatever got to her seems to be letting up.

I have 3 cast iron skillets -- one Griswold and two Wagners. Yesterday I attempted to season them. I think I was a bit heavy with the grease cause they ended up on the sticky side. So today I got the oven cleaner out and took away some of the stickiness. If I was going to use them, they probably would have been ok. Selling them as sticky as they were didn't seem a good idea. I will be listing the Griswold later this evening. Don't expect to get much for it as the bottom isn't flat. I will be happy to get rid of it at any price.

Today's photo is another amaryllis. It is the fourth of seven to bloom. It is the one that has the flower and no leaves . . . though a couple leaves are starting to sprout. No sign of bud shoots from the other three yet.

Not sure what color this is supposed to be . . . sort of a washed out orange & white stripe.
