1st Day Of Spring . . .

Sometime this PM 2010's edition of Spring officially arrived. Once again, I was busy with something else and didn't get to try to stand an egg on end. Now I'll hafta wait till the first day of Fall to forget trying to do it.

This AM, the AHS Class of '67 met for another breakfast get-together. I think I counted 14 or 15 class members. Had 4 or 5 come for the first time. I think everyone enjoyed themselves. Gonna do it again in May.

Made a few stops on the way back to Bryan. Stopped of at a couple thrift stores lookin for stuff to sell on eBay. Thrift stores have been a pretty good source lately. Spent a grand total of $3.70 and got a bunch of stuff. A few wks. ago I turned a $1 thrift store buy into $29.50. Wish I could do that more often. I think the reason I sell on eBay is for thrill of those moments. . . . Only been to a couple auctions this winter.

I stopped at a gas station to get a diet Pepsi. I tried to get a bit of ice for my cup. The machine growled and made other rather impolite sounds and carried on for what seemed to be a long time. Then it stopped . . .and a very small single piece of ice fell into my cup. It struck me as funny . . . sometimes it takes very little . . . I decided to try again. The machine went through all it's sounds and carryin on and stopped. This time a big blob of half melted, half frozen crushed ice fell into my cup. Don't know if ice machines get constipated or not, but that's what the situation reminded me of . . .

There was a craft show goin on at the K of C Hall, so I said, 'What the heck, think I'll stop and see what's goin on in there.' I didn't think it was a great show cause there were only 2 booths that interested me. One guy had a bunch of polychromatic wood bowls that he made. Polychromatic wood turnings are neat. Ya glue up different colors of wood and when you are done, ya have different color patterns. Talked to him for a bit. He's been turnin off & on for a lot of years. At the other booth a young lady was selling her photos. She likes to shoot the same type of stuff that I like to shoot . . . old weathered barns, buildings, rustic country scenes, etc. She had some very nice stuff.
