This 'N That Kind Of Stuff . . .

Just noticed that there's a full moon  a risin in the east.  I think I'm gonna hafta get the camera and tripod out a little later and see what I can get.  Check back later to see if I got anything decent.

The 'Comma Cop,' my lovely and talented (she makes me say that), English teachin niece of mine got back to me about all the commas in a recent post.  Said I coulda used a couple more here and there and had a couple extras here and there.  Better report than I thought I would get.  I do proof read my blog posts . . . honest. When I'm tryin to write something all serious and proper, I do it in stages.  First stage is scribblin down any and all ideas I come up with.  Then I like to let it set for a bit before revising it.  Sometimes I have more and/or better ideas.  Then I let it set a spell and do another revision.  This goes on till I give up and type it out and use it for whatever I was writin it for.

Hey, if you are blessed with crab grass in your lawn and are serious about getting yourself de-blessed, now is the time to put down crab grass pre-emergent.  It's supposed to cut down on the amount of crab grass sprouting.  Gotta get it on the lawn by the time the forsythias are bloomin.  Best way to keep the weeds out of your lawn is to keep your grass thick, so there isn't room for the weeds to come up.  Thick lawns really do keep the weeds sparse . . . at least in my lawn.  My front yard still needs some thickening and my back yard needs a little preventative weedkiller applied when the time is right.

Check out my eBay profile . . . CousinMikesBasement has a profile photo of a semi-messy basement that needs some attention.  The link is on the Blog List in the right hand column.

I think it was Saturday of last week that I stopped at the local McDonald's for a Southwest Salad.  I eat a lot of salads . . . They don't seem to elevate the blood sugar . . . Anyway, I was getting tired of seeing their flag flappin in the wind holding on by one grommet instead of the customary two.  It had been that way for at least three days.  So I mentioned it to the counter person and she told what appeared to be the manager on duty right away.  I sat down with my salad and saw another customer take the manager trainee who was barely out of high school if that, to the front window and showed her the flag.  Before I left the manager was taking it down.  Three days . . . How can a manager not notice something like that ????  A few winters ago I signed up to be a secret shopper.  I never followed through and did any secret shoppin.  Some companies have you take a test to be eligible to 'shop' their stores.  I took the McDonald's test.  Exterior store appearance, parking lot, landscaping, etc. is some of the stuff I was supposed to evaluate.  Can't figger out how I notice stuff like that as I drive by and the store manager doesn't see stuff like that when it is part of his job description . . . Oh well . . . .
