April Showers haven't been real common this year. . . Hope they aren't becoming obsolete . . . Back on the 9th we got clobbered with 2.83" in one day. Took a couple weeks to dry out. The farmers were working the fields day and night last week. I saw one guy planting after dark. Those big tractors have plenty of lighting, but still . . . I wonder if some type of gps system was helping him. I've noticed a lot of 'arrow straight' rows the last few years.
From about 10 AM yesterday to 8 AM today, I had 2.66" in my rain gauge. About 1.7" fell tween 10 and 2 in three downpours. That includes the 5 minutes of pea sized hail. It drizzle/rained the rest of the day and night. Had .83 Saturday night with a lot of high winds. Needless to say, there is standing water in every low spot right now, along with the usual Tiffin River at Stryker flood warning. I've seen it worse since moving here, but I don't recall two large rain events so close together.
