Weather and Birds . . .

Lot of nasty storm cells out there.  They've all gone north or south of where I'm sittin . . . so far . . .  Radio people are sayin some weather channel storm chaser vehicle have been spotted around Ft.Wayne and north.  There are reports of broken utility poles in that area.  A really nasty cell is following Rt. 24 toward Toledo.  I'll find out what was in that one in tomorrow's newspaper, I'm sure.  The tornado watch is on till 11pm tonight.

Happy to report that my mower held itself together for three days this week.  Day 2 & 3 I had to fill the radiator at lunch time.  No one thinks it is going to last the summer.  Then we'll have a 5 ft. and a 6 ft mower to cut the rough.  Not lookin forward to that.  Oh, well, gotta use what is available to get the job done.

Weather radio just went off again . . . Cloud rotation spotted south of Ayersville, where I grew up.  That cell going up Rt. 24 is getting huge and growing to the south.  Nothing green sw of me.  Maybe later tonight, I'll get some action here.

A couple goose families have taken up residence on the pond beside number 6 & 11 greens.  One family has 2 little ones and the other has 4.  So we are somewhat assured of having geese around to make a mess for a few more years.

Geese

Don't know if they are tryin to look 'cool' or there are bugs on the water that are about to be devoured.

Robin nest

A couple of Robins decided to build a nest on the neighbor's electric meter.  Seems like they could've found a more sheltered place, but they don't hafta worry about squirrels, etc.
