It has been a dry, sunny but cool Wednesday. Seems like a Monday. Monday was dark, cold and rainy all day. I mowed all day in rain gear. It wasn't blowin in on me and I didn't get chilled, so I just kept mowin. I was stoppin to fill the radiator every 45 minutes . . . maybe that kept me warm.
Tuesday AM had .7" in the rain gauge. Everything is flooded again. It rained all day . . . the real fine droplets type of rain. Was about half way to work when the boss called and said go back home. Didn't argue, did as I was told and went back to bed.
This AM showed .06" in the rain gauge. Bundled up and mowed with the small Toro all day. Took my jacket off around 1 PM. Parts for the new rough mower came yesterday AM and they started usin it the PM. Still pretty wet. I was the only mower out today. Saw one golfer. The boss wasn't allowin carts anywhere . . . that probably contributed to the lack of golfers.
Boss told me to come in early tomorrow and stay late. Gonna get to use the new rough mower. I hope Lynn, our legendary mechanic was able to get a little more speed out of it. They think it moves a bit slower than the John Deere. I think the course dried out quite a bit today. I think there was more wind than they predicted. Still be plenty of water layin around everywhere. I think everyone is gonna be mowin everywhere tomorrow. Fairways haven't been mowed since Friday . . . same with the approaches and collars . . . greens probably got mowed over the weekend. There will be cut grass everywhere tomorrow this time. With more rain predicted for Friday, everyone is gonna start mowin early and stayin late tomorrow . . .
