Justin's Name Train . . .

Justin is my nephew's son.  I guess that makes him my great-nephew.  He lives in Los Molinos CA with his mom, dad and his brothers, Jordan and Jacen.  He just turned 9 months old this past weekend.

I spent a good portion of the afternoon in my hot, stuffy garage workin on Justin's 'name train.'  I did some sandin, drilled holes for the axles and hitches and put a coat of stain on everything.  Next time I work on it, I will have to decide if it needs another coat of stain.  After that, I will start putting pieces together with screws and glue.  Then comes a few coats of polyurethane.  Wheels and axles are last.  I'm a few wheels and axles short--for the train . . .  not, well, you know . . .  Anyway I can go to Ft. Wayne or Toledo to buy them or mail order them.

Figgered I better get goin on Justin's train.  About a month or so ago, he decided he was tired of layin around all the time.  Mom says he flipped himself over and started crawlin.  If that is they way he is goin to do these things, one of these days he is goin to start askin where his train is.  I made name trains for his brothers.

I've heard I have another great niece or nephew on the way . . . don't know which . . . If it is a nephew, I hope they pick a name without many letters with tight curves.  They aren't the most fun to make.
