Yesterday, July 15, 2010 . . .

Yeah, I know it isn't yesterday, it is today.  Yesterday was one of those days that everything seemed to be a bit off.  I had this all typed up yesterday, and for who knows why, it wasn't auto-saving itself as I typed.  Then for another who knows why, everything was gone.  So I gave up and thought I'd give bloggin a try today.  So if you are readin this, everything worked out.

I started the day by not wanting to get up early and go garage salin.  I got up and did it anyway.  Some people think makin yourself do stuff like that  builds character.  Some people think I am a character.  I'll let you decide. . . The pickins were slim and far between.  In fact they were so slim and far between, I spent an hour and a half drivin around and didn't even see anything worth buyin.  Coulda stayed in bed, but you never know what you might be misssin.  Talk about things bein off, it seemed like everytime I left a sale, those dreaded little blue-haired ladies in their big white cars were just gettin there.  Usually they get there the same time as me or are already there and just waitin to get in my way. . .
As I was leavin one sale, a not so little blue-haired lady went by in her motorized wheel chair with her yellow lab.  Instead of bein on the sidewalk, she was goin down the middle of the street.  Probably wouldn't have been any traffic if there would not have been a couple garage sales on the block.  Holdin up traffic and gettin in everyone's way didn't seem to bother her.

I went into the 'country' to check out another sale.  I was drivin my truck down this country road and I noticed a 4 or 5 point buck runnin along side me in the field.  Don't know what that was all about.  Don't think that happens every day, even around here.

On the way home I stopped for gas at the local Circle K. I still think I got my credit card out of my wallet, but when I was done swipin it, I noticed it was my driver's license.  Circle K doesn't take driver licenses.  You might want to file that little tidbit in the back corner of your mind for future reference.

The Goodwill store is in the vicinity, so I decided to make a walk through.  Haven't been in there for a week or so.  Found an aluminum softball bat for 2 bucks.  Brought it home with me.  That makes 6 metal bats ready for auction next spring.  I usually get around 10 bucks on eBay.  Haven't been seein any ball gloves on the garage sale circuit yet.  Might be a bit too soon.
