My First 'Click Pen' . . .

Wall St II click pen

I made my first click pen last evening.  Up to this point I only turned twist pens.  The only difference is the hardware.  Click pen hardware is a bit more expensive.  The body is acrylic and the color, etc. is called invisavue dark blue.  The hardware is Wall St. II gold.  I like it so much that I'm gonna keep it for myself.  I can always make another.

Acrylic is said to be difficult to turn.  The experts say your tools have to be very sharp.  I haven't had much trouble.  Either I keep my tools sharper than they seem or I've been lucky.

Pens are very difficult to photograph.  I haven't discovered the key to eliminating glare.  Then they want to roll, unless ya get lucky and balance them perfectly the first time.  And there are the bits of dust that ya don't see till ya look at the photo on the monitor.  This one had a peice of fuzz on the clip, but I was able to erase it.

When I get the photo takin situation under control I'll be listing them online.  They make great gifts for graduations, wedding, promotions, and holidays.

I've made pens with invisavue black and this blue one.  I really like invisavue but I can't capture the detail in the pattern with a camera.  In 'real life' the flecks are almost 3-D. Good, detailed photos are what is going to sell my pens online.
