On the way I saw a few cows 'chillin' in their pasture. Don't see many farms with just a few head of cattle around here anymore.

A bit further down the road, I saw this old barn.

For some reason this pole caught my eye. I'm guessin a hawk tried to land on top of the pole and brushed against the live wire. Haven't heard if it was accidental or a suicide.
On the way back home, I began to wonder why it is called a dirt farm. Do they plant dirt seeds and grow the dirt??? I don't member seein dirt seeds in any of the seed catalogs. I'm definitely gonna pay close attention when to the seed catalogs this winter. I've never seen dirt at any of the farmer's markets. I checked and dirt isn't mentioned in any of the farm commodity reports. Gonna hafta do some research and see what it takes to raise dirt. Gives me somethin new to ponder while mowin.

Anyway, this is the dirt I bought. It is spread here and there in my flower beds.
