The Weekend . . .

I had plans to go to the Hot Balloon Festival in Van Wert Saturday.  The weather didn't cooperate.  It was too windy.  The winds might have calmed down enought to do a glow and they may have flown this AM, but I didn't go check it out.

Instead I went to the Black Swamp Art Festival in Bowling Green Saturday afternoon.  Didn't seem as large as the last time I attended, which was two years ago.  Plenty of people, just seemed like fewer tents.  Digital photos printed on canvas was the new thing this year.  They seem brighter on canvas than on paper.

On the way back, I spotted this . . .  In fact, I turned around to get the shot.  I mean, how often do you see more than one sitting along the side of the road??????

Saturday morning, I checked out a couple garage sales.  There were only four Saturday sales.  And yes, the little, blue-haired women were out and about.  One pulled into a driveway and about a half mile and hour.  I was behind her waitin patiently at first, then not so patiently.  At another sale the lady holding the sale was scared to death that someone was gonna get hurt.  She probably should have another sale.

I made one purchase.  As I was walkin up the drive, I noticed that the garage was full of shelves with stuff on them.  When the garage has shelves all over the place and or the people have a cash register, one probably isn't gonna find any bargains. But this one was different.  I grabbed a left hand, 14" Wilson softball glove for $4!!  A used softball with Amanda's name on it was included.  I will have no problem sellin it next spring!!

This is a blurred pic of Simon watchin a squirrel runnin rampant in the back yard.  For some reason, my little camera will not take sharp pics at times.  This is one of the times.

A little later today, I was trimmin Simon's claws.  Never been much of a problem till today.  He got mad and hissed at me.  In all the years and times I trimmed Patches' claws, she never hissed.  She didn't always like it, but she never hissed. Simon is a 'handfull' at times.
