Homeless Tractor ????

I'm beginnin to think this is a homeless tractor.  It sat in this field all winter.  I think it found work gettin the nearby field of soybeans planted.  It has sat at the edge of the field since. 

Hopefully someone will recognize this tractor from the mug type shots I took this AM.  I know of no homeless tractor shelters in the area.  Bein out in the field in all kinds of weather isn't easy for anything or anybody. 


Its that time of year already.  The 'airifyin of the tees began today.  This machine punches holes in the ground and pulls up plugs.  We let them dry out a bit, then blow them off the tees.  Then we use the versicutter on them.  The versicutter cuts slits in the ground about an inch apart.  Don't know how deep, cause I've never run the machine.  We got the  front nine done today and will do the back nine tomorrow.  After that comes the greens.  Probably won't start them this week.  The machine in the pic above is not fun to use.  It sometimes shakes itself and the driver apart.  When we do the greens, sand will be spread and brushed in to keep them smooth.  It takes a while for them to smooth out.  Low scores are not very common when this is goin on.  The fairways will get their fall treatment too.  We usually borrow a bigger machine when we get to that.  I probably won't help much with these processes.  I'll be mowin somethin somewhere.
