Cold, Windy,Blustery Day . . .

The temperature made it to 51 for an hour or so, today.  The wind was a pretty steady 20+ mph and gusted higher way too often.  Then there were the dark , ominous lookin clouds passin through.  It was another November like day in October.  

I woke up thinkin I just had to have a doughnut.  So far I have been able to put off gettin that doughnut.  There was one garage sale in the newspaper and I checked it out.  I have found that I have a pretty good idea of what kind of stuff a sale is going to have by what part of town it is in.  This one was about what I expected.  There are 4 sales tomorrow.  


I spotted this crane this morning and decided to see what it was up to.  Looks like they are repacin some mechanical equipment on the roof of one of the hardware stores in town.  It is probably an air conditioning unit.  Glad I'm done workin in the wind and cold till spring.  I don't like a lot of wind when it is on the warm side either.  A couple yrs. after I retired, I helped set trusses on a warehouse usin a crane.  It was on the windy side that day.  My job was hookin up the trusses and usin the tag line.  

I spent some gluin time on the segmented bowl that I am makin.  I started with 24 pieces and I'm down to 9.   When I get to one, I'll put it on the lathe and start cuttin.
