Monday, October 8 . . .

I've had a 'varied' Monday.  Didn't even wake up till shortly before 8:30.  That doesn't happen to me very often.  While gettin dressed I found one of Simon's toys on the bed.  Yeah, he sometimes sleeps with his toys.  I gave it a toss.  He went over, picked it up and put it back on the bed, then went to the next room.  Is he tellin me somethin????

Even though there was no mail service today, I did labels for some of the cookie cutter sets that were sold durin the night.  I rarely look at names anymore, but for some reason the one goin to the United Kingdom caught my eye -- Raywinn Knewstubb.  Yeah, that's Knewstubb with two b's.  I see some unusual names now and then . . . 

I have a hickory bowl to turn for a lady.  Since I couldn't find a piece of hickory thick enough, I will hafta glue some pieces together to get the size I need.  Soooo, I cut out 24 peices and started gluing them together.  Never attemped a lathe project with so many pieces.  I'm gonna take my time gluing.  Gotta keep the joints tight.  Will keep you posted with my progress.  

Went over to the local Walmart for some odds & ends this PM.  


They are doin the annual 'painting of the stripes.' this week.  I found myself a few vehicles back from the paint truck.  

Through the miracle of Facebook, I have been introduced to  Special K buttery popcorn chips couple of my Facebook friends.  Through some Facebook correspondence to Arizona and here, I was told I should find them in the cracker aisle.  That is an aisle that I rarely visit.  Guess I don't really have much reason to purchase crackers.  I like them and have nothing against crackers, just don't buy them much.  

I found them and purchased a box.  Had to see what I've missin.  Well, they remind me of cornchips . . . a bit on the popcorn tastin side, but then they are popcorn chips.  They are ok.  Don't see myself goin back anytime soon for them.
