Jackpot !!!!

Went garage salin again this mornin.  Ya never know what yur gonna find if ya don't go lookin.  Found somethin I've been wantin for a long time . . .  I was seriously thinkin about bitin the bullet and purchasing one new.  

I found this jointer at one of the garage sales.  They weren't even advertisin tools.  There was another that was advertisin tools.  I took a chance and went on to that sale, thinkin maybe I would find a better one.  The street wasn't listed in my gps.  That meant that it was probably in one of the newer parts of town.  Turned out it was a half mile or so down the street.  They had nothin, so I hightailed it back.  By that time it was rainin pretty good, I made the purchase and loaded it in the rain.  It isn't a machine that I will use a lot. The price was only $25 . . . about a tenth of a new one . . . and this one came with a stand!!!  I'm thinkin I did good !!!

When it stopped rainin, I went out to get it off the truck.  I spotted a butterfly, Junonia coenia, restin on the concrete beside the truck.  The common name is Buckeye.  Been a long time since I've been able to get a decent photo of a butterfly.
