Late last Sunday evening I got sick . . . really sick. Not sure if it was flu or winter . . . But I was sick. Didn't really get out of bed till Tuesday PM. Wednesday, I ate a bit and after the storm left, I decided I better work on the drive. There was lots of wind forecast and I figgered I better make some headway on it before the drifts got bigger. So I bundled up, started up the snow blower and went to work. About halfway through the drive, I noticed the next door neighbor stuck in her drive. She works the afternoon shift at the hospital and it was around goin to work time. So even though I didn't feel like doin what I was doin, I decided I better help. I got my shovel and investigated the situation. She was in snow above the bumper of her SUV. With some diggin and pushin, I got her out. Even though I really wasn't workin that hard, I was whipped and drenched in sweat. Thought about askin her to dump me off at the emergency room entrance on her way to the employee's parking lot, but I decided against it. Thursday, I decided that I was gonna live and actually got hungry. I've been getting better each day since. That is why I haven't posted any photos for a week. I made 34 consecutive days. It isn't as easy as it seems it would be. So today I start another try at 365 consecutive days.
I spotted this at the local Walmart this AM. Even trains have get flat wheels and need a quick change. Guess they don't carry spares.
While leavin the lot, I realized that I'm in a maze of snowpiles.
Some of them are approachin a good three SMART cars in height.
The local newspaper had a photo of the police putting police tape around some of them, hoping to keep kids off them. They do have hollow spots in them and if someone fell in, it might be a while before they are missed.
