
As you can see, I was far from being one of the first. I got there just after 8:30. The sale was advertised for a 9 AM opening. It was a chilly, rainy first garage sale of the year. I mentioned opening day to the lady taking money. She seemed impressed.
Despite the weather there were more than enough of those dreaded, little, blue-haired ladies to get in everyone's way, especially mine. I even saw my barber there. He is closed on Thursdays and likes to wheel and deal a bit, too.
I found a nice Corning Ware A-3-B 3 qt. covered casserole. They wanted 5 bucks for it, but they took one of my 4 dollar bills. Click on my eBay link to left if you want details. Made the rounds of the local thrift stores and picked up a couple more items. Donations seem to be increasing as the weather gets better.
