Past Week's Photos . . .
The week started with this switch engine gettin in my way. It was like it was waiting for someone to come along and block the crossing.
The wheat harvest was goin full blast earlier this week. The harvester in the lower pic has tracks.
Came across these buzzards warmin themselves up in the sun one cool moring.
Been admiring the sunflowers at Father John's restaurant & microbrewery. I posted this pic on Facebook and had a couple FB friends get into a near argument about the plaque being a lion or a dog. Good thing one lives in Arizona and the other in Ohio . . . and they are sisters . . .
So before one of them decided to make a special visit and end the matter, maybe not peacefully, I shot a "closer up" and posted it the next day. Haven't heard a thing from either of them since . . .
This is a patch of thistles at one of the entrances to the path around the retention pond.
A semi-closeup of a bee gathering pollen from a thistle. There was a slight breeze moving things when I shot these. I'm surprised that they are as clear as they are.
