This is a shot of my back yard.
This is the neighbor's yard on the south side of mine.
This is the neighbor's yard on the north side of mine.
This a shot from my garage door.
There is a water way down the back of the yards on my side of the street. Every few houses there is a catch basin. My yard has a catch basin. A tile goes tween my house & the neighbor's to catch basin in the street. From there it goes across the street to a huge ditch behind the houses and to the retention pond about a mile south of me. I live in the lower (elevation) part of town. All the water comes this way toward the retention ponds
I took this photo about an hour ago.
I looked at some photos I took the last time the yard flooded. I think the water was deeper this time. When I went outside I had 2.2" in my www.cocorahs.net rain gauge. I'm the only orange dot in OH on today's precipitation map. I think most of it fell in about 1 to 1-1/4 hours.
A tornado watch just came in. Already a flash flood warning up. And another round of storms with potential downpours, etc are expected for later today. An exciting weather day, if you like that sort of thing. Maybe I can get some decent shots of lightning.
