If one could be on life support for 'cabin fever' and/or boredom, I'm pretty sure I would be on it and probably ready to pull the plug.
After yesterday's fiascos, I didn't really actually try to do much today . . . I just spent a lot of time thinking about making attempts. I did get a couple packages to the post office today on the first attempt . . . an improvement over yesterday.
I thought about heading out to Mill Hollow south of Vermilion to check out the ice sculptures from last weekend's Winter Fest. Ice sculptures make good photos when the sun isn't real bright. I read where they carved a train with several cars. I talked myself out of it. It takes about 2-1/2 hrs one way and I figured if I went some stupid kids would have smashed them simply because they knew I was coming.
Then somehow I lost my cell phone around mid day. I used it this AM and noticed it was ready for the charger. When I got around to actually charging it, I couldn't find it. I was pretty sure it was in the house somewhere because I hadn't left the house since I used it. My reasoning faculties aren't completely shot yet. I finally decided to hook up my Magic Jack internet phone and call the lost phone. I discovered that my subscription had expired. After I got that fixed, I could hear it ring, but still couldn't find it. It was a muffled ring which confused and irritated me pretty good. Finally found it under a chair in the living room. It seems that my cat, Patches T. Cat, who demands a daily brushin if I don't voluntarily brush her in the AM, wanted to be brushed and it fell out of my pocket and got kicked under the chair.
After all that I was ready to call those nice guys who wear those crisp white coats and have them take me away. Couldn't find any listing in the phone book that looked promising so I thought maybe a walk in the cold air would help. This was pretty drastic, cause I really don't like cold weather any more. I headed to the park to walk a loop. Bryan has a really nice park, nicer than many towns bigger than Bryan. When I approached the ice rink, I realized that even fewer towns the size of Bryan have something like this.
The walk didn't turn out to be a life changin experience, like I had hoped. So I made myself go to the Y for a workout . . . no matter how long it took. The elliptical machine session went better than last Monday's session. I discovered that all the nautilus machines are back in operation and I was able to do a full workout . . . the first in a couple weeks. Maybe things are a changin . . .
