The Cooper Has A Horn . . .

The horn on the Cooper died shortly after I brought him home late last fall. A little internet research tells me that MINI Coopers seem to go through OEM horns like I used to eat potato chips . . . Not many people know I'm a recovering chip-a-holic. A couple weeks ago I decided that I better get a working horn. Sooner or later I'm gonna wish I had one. I decided on a Hella horn. Hellas are very loud . . . 118 dB. It came today and I installed it this PM. Had to remove what they call the bumper bonnet to get to the old horn . . . Wasn't the easiest take-a-part job. There isn't very much wasted space on a MINI . . . virtually no wiggle room. I got everything back together on the same day!!! The horn is very loud. I'm pretty sure people are going to hear it when I use it. I just hope it doesn't loosen any paint or fasteners.

Had an interesting experience this AM at the local Goodwill store. A lean, wirey blue haired lady and myself went for something on the same shelf. Turns out it wasn't the same item . . . they were next to each other. Had a small collision. It is a well known fact that one has no friends at auctions and garage sales and I'm thinkin it is pretty much the same at the thrift stores too. If push would have come to shove, I think I could have taken her without too many punches being thrown, but her lean, wirey daughter was with her and had a grocery type cart.  She may have given me a good fight . . . already havin a cart and everything.

If I do get myself in trouble at these places, it will be Obama's fault. Obamanomics is cuttin into my mowin job at the country club. They lost quite a few members again this yr. and the boss said he hopes to use me startin the first of May. Unemployment in the county is around 16% and those who are still workin are wonderin how much longer. That mowin job keeps me off the streets and out of trouble. Well, not completely out of trouble. Me and my mower have been known to get ourselves into trouble tryin to mow and everything.
