Checked out an auction in Bryan first thing this AM. Didn't see anything very interesting. The original plan was to then go to Paulding or Wauseon for another auction. Doing that didn't seem very appealing at the time, so I hung around the Bryan auction for a couple hours.
Got into a cleanin mood this PM. That happens when things get a messy around here. Then this evening I cleaned up the Cooper. Found a quarter in the driver's seat. Felt like I won a dollar on a dollar instant ticket till I realized it was probably mine since it wasn't there the last time I vacuumed the interior and I'm the only who drives it. Easy come, easy go . . . . .
Read in the newspaper that Chrysler stopped makin the PT Cruiser this past week. Mine was an '01, the first yr they made it . . . and yes, I had to wait a few months to get it and I paid the dealer well to get it.
The railroad spent a few days this past week, rebuilding the crossing going into the tire plant. I suppose it is better, but I noticed the low spot tween the rails is still low . . . but it has fresh asphalt. Another repair job well done . . .
The city is still tryin to figure out when to set off the storm sirens. I think they have decided that they will set them off when the NWS issues a severe storm warning or a tornado warning. The fire chief said the sirens weren't set off the other day when the NWS was predicting the possibility of severe thunderstorms because the predicted storm didn't meet the guidelines for a severe thunderstorm. Now does that makes sense ? ? ? ? I'm pretty sure they weren't set off because the NWS didn't issue a severe thunderstorm warning for this part of the county. Some people ought to stick with their specialty or learn how to communicate. Just tell the people the sirens weren't used because there was no severe thunderstorm warning for this part of the county . . .
