Went to a couple auctions yesterday. Neither had anything worth bidding on. One was a field full of old rusty tools. The other was mostly household goods that were in poor condition. At least the auctions were only a few miles apart.
Usually when I see Amish at an auction they have someone drive them. This family obviously lived in the area and brought themselves.

A few blogs ago, I posted a photo of an auto from Hawaii. Saw this one parked at one of the auctions. I've seen Alaska plates in the area before. That plug hangin from the grill is probably for a block heater for those very cold Alaskan nights. Wonder if they came 'south' to Ohio for the winter . . .
While travelin to the auctions, I went past this grain elevator. I noticed this giant bag hangin from the conveyor. Instead of dumping grain on the ground it is bein dumped ito this bag. That would be better than dumping it on the ground unprotected from the weather and animals.
This afternoon I took a long drive to the south. There are no fall colors other than various shades of brown. The very hot, dry summer took care of most of the fall colors this year.
