Ramblins About Nothin In Particular . . .

Had another .4 inches of rain yesterday.  The ground is gettin pretty saturated.  I have a bunch of bulbs I would like to get into the ground, but I don't want to be diggin in the mud.

Got up this AM wonderin if I was gonna have the day off.  But ya gottta get up and get ready till ya get that call.  Sort of like when I was in the classroom.  I would have a strong feelin that school was gonna be called off, but I hadn't heard about it yet.  One time I got there and Kenny, who was tryin to plow the parkin lots, told me he just called the boss and told him that he could couldn't keep the lots from blowin shut and the 'J' just officially closed.  Always willin to take a day off even if I get there and they tell me to go home.

Anyway, I was gettin my coffee at Main Stop when the boss called.  He said no one was there yet and asked me what got done yesterday.  He had gone to a seminar in Toledo yesterday.  Told him we gave up around lunchtime cause it was on/off rain all day.  Said with another .4 yesterday & overnite, to take the day off.  Had a feelin he was gonna say that.  The ground is gettin saturated and probably lots of standin water like it was Monday.

Yesterday AM was a strange one weather-wise.  I dresssed warm and had rain stuff on.  My rain stuff is a great windbreaker.  Radar indicated rain was headed our way anyway.  There was a nice sunrise to the east.  Didn't have my camera cause of the expected rain.  Lots of dark fierce lookin clouds to the west.  A bit later I saw part of a rainbow to the northwest and when I turned around I saw another part of a rainbow to the southwest.  A couple hrs later it started rainin pretty hard for a short time.  I went in and went back out when it stopped.  The temperature dropped quite a bit and the wind picked up.  Went back for my carharts and before I could go back out, the rain started up again.  Lookin at radar, we decided to give up for the day.

309\

Since my last post, gas dropped to 3.24, then to 3.19 yesterday.  I topped off my tank yesterday,  This mornin, dropped another dime.  Should've waited a day . . .  Crude is up around $4 the last day or so.  I don't expect the 3.09 to last too long, so better top off your tank today.

Over the weekend I sort of had a 'run-in' with one of those little, blue-haired ladies in the local grocery store.  She had an aisle blocked.  She was tellin a clerk that she had just realized that she had two carts that were stuck together.  Said she couldn't get them apart and had wondered why her 'cart' was so heavy to push.  Kinda miss those little, blue-haired ladies . . . Maybe if I get tomorrow off, I'll go to some garage sales just to see if any of them have come up with some new ways to get in everyone's way . . .
