Up In Smoke . . .

RR
Got to work this AM and everyone was sittin around talkin, which was unusual.  So I sat down too.  It seems that someone torched the combination restroom, storage shed & weather shelter Friday night.  No one saw it burn. It was smolderin Saturday morning when someone noticed it.  It was definitely set.  I'm thinkin it had some help to get it burnin so hot that it scorched the trees high up and burned the poles down as far as they did.  Don't know what they are gonna do for a restroom out there.  I do know I miss it already . . . if you know what I mean . . . . . .

On the way in this mornin, someone decided to stop at an intersection to let a couple kids goin to school cross the street.  The problem I had was that there is not a light or stop sign there.  I was comin toward them and they started crossin the street.  I slam on the brakes, lookin for the stop sign that I didn't think was there in the first place.  Why that guy stopped and waved the kids across the street, I don't know.

A few blocks later I see a Bryan City school bus.  Right behind it was the regional jail bus pickin up prisoners.  I wonder how many of the people on the jail bus wasn't a regular rider on the school bus . . . .

So I get home and carefully sorted out my work clothes.  I started the day with 'full Carhartts.'  It warmed up nicely today and I shed quite a few pieces as the day went on.  I'm always careful to keep track of gloves, my camera and phone and anything else I have in pockets.

I'm in the house a while and start wonderin where my phone is.  I was sure I brought it in with my camera.  Camera was in plain sight, but I couldn't see my phone.  Went through pockets three or four times with no luck.  I searched the cab of my truck.  I start wonderin if I dropped it in the parkin lot at the shop.  So I take a drive out there with no luck.  I walk into the house and find it.  Not gonna tell ya where it was, but it wasn't in the refrigerator.  I think I sort of vaguely remember how it got there.
