Today was the annual Merry Lake garage sale. Merry Lake is just across the Ohio border in Michigan. I like goin to these community sales. Lots of garage sales in a relatively small area.

Seemed to be a lot more traffic this year. This was a ten minute or so gridlock. The street are narrow anyway . . . and when you have cars parked on both sides, there isn't enough room for two lanes of traffic. No one would back up till people began blowin horns.
Haven't been to many garage sales this year because I've been workin five days a week. Not many sales begin on Saturday around here. Didn't take long to get into the 'swing of things.' A well place elbow in some old, fat guy's side, a somewhat gentle shove of those little, blue-haired ladies that are always in my way and I was garage salin! I always look out for the little kids. Those moms can be pretty mean and sometimes down right vicious if I step on their kids.
Since there was a lot of traffic this year, I sometimes parked the MINI and walked down side streets. I'm there to buy stuff, not to socialize. I took a lot of shortcuts. One guy hollered at me as I was shortcuttin across his back yard. Don't know why he was upset . . . I walked around the flower bed. It wasn't like I was shortcuttin through his house. People don't like that . . . I learned the hard way about that a few years ago . . .
Did ok. Got a Wysocki puzzle, 2 aluminum coffee pots, a Corning Ware tea pot, an aluminum pot and lid, an aluminum cake pan with a sliding lid and 2 left hand youth size ball gloves for $11.50. I'll make some decent money on today's buy.

On the way out, I encountered another gridlock. It wasn't as bad as the other. I was able to intimidate this pick up with my MINI. He was the one backin up.

Lots of gravel roads in Hillsdale county. I didn't know that dust this thick could cling to vertical surfaces.

Saw this old barn in this grassy meadow and had to turn around and take a pic.

I'm guessin this may have been a gas station may years ago.
