Warmin Right Up . . .

At 7:30 this AM, my backyard thermometer said it was -13, which is what it said when I turned in for the night.  It warmed up to +4 mid-afternoon and is +3 at the moment.

I decided that I better work on clearin out the drive today.  It really wasn't that bad. The worst part was what the snowplow left me at the end of the drive . . . A three foot pile of snow.  I worked at it on an off all morning.  I used a shovel to spread out the pile, then used my snow blower to move it off the drive.  Times like this, I wish I had a 2 stage machine.

When that was done I took a couple packages to the post office.

The streets are clear, but 'snow packed.'  Not many people out.  We are under a level 3 warning which means you better stay home unless you have a really good reason to be out and about.  I took a chance an didn't get caught. The winds are still pretty active, so roads are still drifting.  A few schools have closed for tomorrow already.

Takin the 'scenic' route to the post office I noticed that only Burger King and Arby's were open.  McDonald's, Sonic's, Taco Bell, Wendy's, and a chain coffee shop (can't remember the name right now) were closed.

Interesting 'factoid' -- one of the Toledo TV stations said more snow fell during the last week than all of last winter.  Probably could say the same about Bryan.
