I shot some of my yard flowers the other evening. We've had a lot of wind this week, which makes it difficult to shoot close ups. The were movin a bit and aren't as sharp as I hoped. The first is a coreopsis, then a spider wort and then an iris.
Don't know where to begin with the garage sales the last couple days. Yesterday was supposed to be the annual "Scott Rd. Garage SalesS' Did you notice the capitalized, bold, underlined S?? I found one sale in the Scott Rd. vicinity. I didn't drive it from on end to the other, but I don't think I missed the 'others.' There were plenty last year. Shoulda went elsewhere for garage sales.
Last weekend there was a garage sale advertised with the times and dates, but no address . . .
This AM, I went to Hicksville for their community garage sales. The advertisement gave no starting time, so I made sure to be there for 8 AM starts. There were two 8 starts, an 8:30 start and a bunch of 9 AM's and a couple 10 AM's. The map made available was small, smudgy and difficult to read. They should have enlarged it to fit the sheet of paper. It would have been nice if they could have marked the map with the list of sales too. A couple of the 9 AM starts began setting up at 9 AM and didn't really want anyone around while they did it. There was absolutely nothing that made me look twice at . . . Nothing but stuff that should never have been purchased or even manufactured!!! There is another town sale in the AM. I hope they put out some good stuff.
Good stuff at garage sales has been noticably scarce this year. The dreaded little white-haired ladies drivin their big white or silver cars have been scarce this year also.
