Around 3:30 yesterday afternoon, I ventured out to get my morning coffee. The snow had pretty well stopped by then. The authorities still had the area under a level 3, which means you aren't supposed to be driving unless you have a darn good reason.
So I get to the local Circle K and I see this guy with a long yellow pole clearing the snow out of the traffic lights. The 8" of snow was wet and sticky. The wind was pretty strong too. It seems that some of the traffic light were packed with snow and were hard to determine whether they were red or green. By the time I got my camera out of my pocket the guy was behind his truck. You'll hafta trust me that he is on the lower end of that yellow pole.
A little later I see this at a stop light. I've never seen anything like this anywhere. He was on St. Rt. 15 headed north. Might have been part of a carnival or circus. If he was he was separated from the rest of the group. I've often thought about goin uptown with my camera and sit down on one of the benches at the center of town and wait for something unusual to pass through town. It probably wouldn't long to have several shots of different things.
So with another 8" of snow yesterday, the snow piles seem higher than ever. The piles at the apartments behind me are so high that they blotted out the sun this morning.
