Saturday was the Annual Edon Area Garage Sales. They had a good map marked with locations of the garage sales. Edon is quite a bit smaller than Hicksville and I never really use their map. I just drive up and down the streets.
This is Edon's skyline. There are a couple/three church steeples, but the grain elevator is taller.
This is Blakeslee's skyline. They have a church with a steeple that is probably taller than this little grain elevator. Probably should have taken a pic of the church instead. Anyway both are pretty small towns in farm country.
Blakeslee had five sales goin when I got there. I made a decent buy at my second stop there. Stopped at another sale on the way in to Edon. There was a little puppy who wouldn't leave the shoes alone. I'm pretty sure the little guy got himself penned up for a while because he wasn't about to lose interest in the shoes while I was there.
At another sale, I said 'Hi' to a little girl probably goin on two. She smile and scribbled a note and gave it to me. Neither Mom or myself know what it says or why she scribbled a note for me.
In Edon, I followed this Amish horse and carriage around. I'm pretty sure the horse is strict Amish cause he is hiding his face from me. For those of you who don't know, the Amish do not like their faces photographed. I don't think the horse wanted to be there cause he was givin the husband and wife all kinds of trouble. I think he was ready to go home. The husband didn't seem too thrilled to be there either.
