I have been sssoooooo incredibly bored this past week . . . Havin a difficult time gettin myself out of it. Don't know if it is the cooler, comfortable weather or something else. I have a list of 10-15 minute jobs to do, but I don't do them or much of anything else.
Today I felt a bit better about things and decided it would be a good day to turn a couple wooden eggs for the kaleidoscope kits I've had for waaayy too long. So I sat myself down to read the directions. It seems that I needed a 13/16" forstner drill bit that I don't have. So I went to the local Town & Country Hardware store to see if they had one. Didn't surprise me that they didn't cause I already knew that Lowe's & Menard's don't have forstner bits. Got to talkin with the clerk. Turns out he is one of the carpentry instructors at the local JVS.
Since I couldn't do anything with the kaleidoscopes without the drill bit, I decided to go visit the Woodcraft store in Ft. Wayne. I knew for sure they would have what I need. While going through Butler IN on the way to Ft. Wayne, were a couple guys standing in the middle of the intersections. They had a bucket, were wearing reflector vests and there were orange cones out there with them. All I could think of was that they were painting road stripes by hand which I thought was pretty weird. On the way out of town, it came to me that they were probably firemen collecting money for Jerry's Kids for next weekend. Told ya my mind was pretty mushy. Thought about stoppin at that big hospital I pass on the way in to Ft. Wayne to see if they have a mental ward and turn myself in if they did.
Saw something this past week I had never noticed before . . . A Family Dollar Store and a Dollar General Store side by side. Both buildings were so new that the grass hasn't been planted yet. I'm not familiar with Family General. I wonder how different there product line is from Dollar General. If the product lines are very similar, I'm thinkin some people up the food chain are goin to find that they may have made some costly mistakes . . .
