It cooled off just like they said it would. The predicted high was 65 and it is 67 right now. The wind started blowin yesterday and is still blowin with gusts up to 30 mph.
Pickins were pretty slim at the garage sales this weekend. Made one purchase . . . a nice Louiseville Slugger ball glove. Paid more for it than I wanted . . . but when the price is over a quarter for anything, it is more than I want to pay. I'm also known as 'Scrooge' in certain circles.
At one of the sales I saw a lady in her electric wheelchair flyin down the street and skidding into the driveway to check out the sale. Some of these people really get around with their chairs. I wonder if they replace the wheels with tracks in the winter. Wouldn't surprise me if someone hasn't at least looked into it . . .
Went to auctions Wed evening and this AM. Didn't stay long at either auction. Usually when there are only a couple items that I'm interested in, I don't stay long especially when they aren't at the head of the line.
Early this mornin a thick cloud bank passed over. It got really dark and stormy lookin for about 15 minutes, then the skies turned sky, blue sunny with puffy white clouds. On the way to the auction I saw this 'mountain' in the backside of the cloud bank that passed over earlier. The 'mountain' was collapsing by the time I got stopped and the camera out. Bein at the right place at the right time with your camera ready to go is the secret to getting the great sunset, sunrise and cloud pics.
A couple days ago I came around the house from the back. The FedX van was in my driveway delivering my cookie cutter order. Then a UPS van pulled up next door. I started hopin that these guys aren't gonna start fightin like the Coke & Pepsi guys in that commercial. Turned out to be peaceful deliveries.
eBay sales have really picked up the last couple weeks. The irritating problem is that I'm havin a lot of slow pays. I have 3 sets setting here waiting for payment. Slow pays are those that 'buy' something, then wait a few days to pay for it. Doesn't make sense to me either.
Sent a set of cookie cutters to Greece this past week. The name was Papagiannopoulous. Try sayin that just ONE time fast . . . Heck, try just try sayin . . .
