Had three eBay auctions end last night. Only one sold. Haven't decided what I'm gonna do about the other two. My Sears Maid of Honor 9 cup percolator coffee pot did very well . . . I picked it out of a 'Free' box at a recent garage sale. Click HERE to see what I got for it.
The auction on my 4 qt. Pyrex mixing bowl with the New Dot design ends Thursday evening. This is only the second time I've seen the New Dot design in person. The other time was at an auction and they went for big bucks . . . a couple went for over $50.00. Needless to say I dropped out way before that. I paid a whole $0.25 for it at a garage sale and the graphics have a couple visible scratches. I'm not complainin about what the bid is . . . Click HERE to check on it.
Been a long time since I've done this well on any eBay auctions. At this writing I'm lookin at $30 for a total 25 cent investment!!!
Then there are my mums . . . doin very poorly, like everything else this year except for these two . . .
I blogged about the yellow one a couple weeks ago. It is about 3 ft. across and 2 ft. high or maybe it it the other was around. Biggest mum I've ever grown. The purple one opened up this past week. One can easily see this big yellow ball from the end of my street.
Then there is the other side of my driveway . . . These mums are typical of how the rest of them are doin this year. Have no idea why a couple are outstanding and some are barely alive. . . They got pretty much the same fertilizer, water, etc. The burning bushes behind them haven't grown much since I've lived here.
I was drivin past the local airport on Co. Rd. 16, also known as Runkle Rd . . . if Mrs. Runkel is reading this . . . this PM . . . Anyway this road is basically perpendicular to the end of the runway. Spotted a single engine plane comin in very low. I actually braked for it. It was well below the tops of the electric poles. Definitely a lot lower than he needed to be. Never braked for an airplane before, have you?
My almost 16 yr. old cat, Patches T. Cat is sometimes very fussy in her old age . . . This morning she would not quit fussin at me. She had been fed . . . did not want lap time, so I got up and she led me to her brush. She loves to be brushed . . . and sometimes demands it, like today. What made today different was that she all but danced a jig when she realized I was gonna brush her. We're talkin a 'YouTube hit' type of little dance. I never noticed her being anywhere that excited before.
She has a set routine . . . Sleeps a while . . . Checks her bowl for food . . . Looks out the window . . . Does some grooming . . . Wants some lap time or a brushin and then repeats . . . all day . . .
