Sunday was a very nice, blue sky, balm, sunny, October afternoon. Decided to check out Goll's Woods with my camera. Since I haven't driven the MINI for about a month, I decided to take her out for a drive.
It is always interesting when I haven't driven the MINI for a while. The truck has a 5 speed transmission and drives pretty much like a truck. The MINI is very different. It has a 6 speed tranny and reverse is in a very different location. Takes a while to shift into reverse without thinkin too much. Found myself forgetting I had 6 speeds more than once. It accelerates much quicker than my truck and turns very sharp. Sometimes I find myself in the wrong lane when makin those left turns. It all came back to me after a few more than a few miles.
On the way I spotted this clean, crisp white barn.
Yesterday was the first time I've seen the Goll Woods parking lot full . . . It was overflowing. I parked tween two cars along the road.
Didn't get too far into the woods when I spotted the first of many hikers.

Colors in the area are very spotty. Some trees are almost bare, some have good color and some are still green.
This is definitely a 'good color' tree.
A little later this PM, I'm off to Grand Rapids for dinner with my 'Toledo' niece, Melissa.
