Friday night was a tough one. My house just seemed so big, cold and lonely. I swear I heard a meow. Later I thought I saw a patch of white run by the doorway. Don't know if I was dreamin or what, but I thought I was hearin noises Patches would make gettin up on my bed. A few years ago, I realized she was havin problems gettin jumpin so I put boxes here and there to help her get up and down. It is amazin how attached one gets to a pet, especially when it has been just Patches an me in the house for the last 18 years. Like a Facebook friend commented . "18 year, she is family." Boy is she right!!
Saturday morning I finally realized that I was wanderin around the house looking for my 'sleepin pile of fur.' I decided I had to do what I've always done when something is bothering me bigtime . . . I got into the MINI and started drivin. I had no destination or time limit. So I drove and drove and clicked away with my camera.
I hope there were more Walleye in the Maumee River than fisherman. The river gets pretty full of fisherman hopin to catch their limit of walleye this time of year. That water can't be very warm. Some of those guys were in above their waist.
An old country school. I liked the brickwork on the front.
Lots of soup is made here.
An old grave yard on a hill. Very picturesque.
