Patches T. Cat
August 1993 - March 30, 2012
Patches passed away a few hours ago at her vet's office. We were there for a check-up. She suffered an apparent heart attack while getting ready to leave the examination room.
I brought her home from the Lorain County Animal Shelter on a sunny Sunday afternoon during February of 1994. She was the only cat that reacted to me as I walk by the cages. She stuck her paw through the cage and greeted me.
A few days later, I was opening a can of tuna, mainly for myself, while Patches was carrying on, etc. behind me. Then it got quiet. I looked and their she was all stretched out on the floor playing 'dead.' I knew then that this cat was gonna be a lot of fun.
There were so many other things we did that stand out in my mind. I could ramble on and on about them.

When she was younger she always wanted to be on the table where I was working or in front of the computer screen.
Peekin around the corner watching me was another of her past times.
This was taken last fall.
Several years ago I made this 'toy box' barn for my cousin's young son. My plan was to take a picture with some of the tractors I collect and send it to my cousin. As you can see Patches had to check things out first. Possibly lookin for barn mice??
Sleepin and loungin around was another favorite.
She loved to be brushed . . . couldn't get enough of it. Laying on her brush was one of her ways of askin for a brushin. I wish I would have brushed her before we went to the vet's.
Patches, you were a great cat. Gonna miss you and those big green eyes a lot.
