I had Tuesday and Wednesday off this week. Tuesday AM the AC people fixed my air conditioner. It was leakin freon in two spots and the transformer in the furnace gave out too. The faulty transformer was why it wouldn't come on.
Yesterday mornin I woke up confused. I sort of knew it wasn't a work day. I laid there wondering what I was gonna do. Thought about checkin out garage sales. I was thinkin it was Thursday, but at the same time I kinda knew that I was supposed to work on Thursday. I actually wandered around the house lookin for Wednesday's newspaper to see where the garage sales were. All I could find was Tuesday's newspaper. I finally checked my cellphone to see what day it actually was. It was Wednesday, not Thursday. Guess maybe ya had to be here to see me all confused. Today I keep thinkin it is Friday and tomorrow is Saturday, the day it just might rain here, but I doubt it. If all this seems confusing, imagine how I feel.
Anyway, I got myself out of bed and to work on time. We are starting at 6 the rest of the month. Boss said to "touch up" the rough for the weekend. That meant drivin around lookin for greenish patches of grass that could use a trimmin.

So the first place I mowed was here, tween the 7 tees and 7 fairway. The sprinkler head closest to the mower came on and scored a near direct hit on me. It was 55-60 degrees at the time. The hourly on Weather.com did not predict 70 degrees till around 10 AM. It was probably 6:15 when I got it. And of course, it was pretty cloudy. So I knew it was gonna be a cold few hours.

Next area of green was along the 6th fairway. And of course, I got hit again, though not as bad. Until today, I have only gotten hit once in all the years I've mowed the rough here. I was wonderin if I should be thinkin about filin a workmen's comp claim. Why did this hafta happen this week? Last week it was already 80 degrees at 6 AM. Would've felt good. Told the boss about my troubles at lunch. He just shrugged it off and said, "well, that is where all the green grass is -- by the sprinkler heads." No sympathy from him!!

Back in May, this shelter/restroom burned. Someone set it or lightning hit it. We'll probably never know. It happened the night of the last storm that dropped any decent amount of water. The NWS says we're in a severe drought now. Next step drier is exreme drought. Exceptional drought comes after that.

This is the new shelter/RR. Put the finishing touches on it this week. The Board is wantin to know if we can replace the shelter/RR on 13. I say put the money toward replacin mowers.
