An Experiment

This posting contains 2 experiments. The first is experimenting with a slide show instead of several individual photos. The second "experiment" didn't turn out anywhere near as well as I had hoped. But when you are counting on Mother Nature you have to take what she gives you. In this case I am waiting "till next year."

My first year at Orchard Hills, the fall colors were unbelievably brilliant! Last year, fall was a total washout. This year was better, but not as good as I had hoped. To the north west of 13 and across a field there are trees that turn a bright, brilliant orange. The orange was spectacular my first year there. This past fall I decided I would take weekly photos from about the same place. Keep in mind I had no control over the lighting. I wasn't always able to get back there exactly a week apart. I am there to mow, not take pictures. I was able to take photos for 5 weeks beginning in September. Then the weather turned bad more days than it was good. The colors did get much better, but I didn't get back there very often because it doesn't need mowing very often in the late fall. Let me know what you think of slide shows.
