I spend many summer evenings "camped out" with my camera near my humming bird feeder. I have this dream of getting a magazine cover quality shot of a humming bird or two. So far this is the best I have been able to get -- and it is from summer '07. I was 0 for a lot of shots last summer. It is very difficult to get a clear, wing stopping shot of these hyper birds. These guys are super quick and don't stay in one spot long. This shot is pretty grainy (in digital photography its called noise) due to deteriorating light conditions. It was getting pretty late when I shot this one. Take a good look and you can see a couple hungry bees.
