Misc Ramblins

Been getting lake effect snow flurries off Lake Michigan all day. One minute it is sky blue sunny and the next I can't see past the houses across the street. Makes me think I'm back in Lorain County.

Last Friday, the walls were closing in on me and I decided I better get out of the house before they did. I ended up in Defiance. I was perusing the book shelves at a book store at the little mall they have there. In the reference section I noticed that the publishers of the "??' For Dummies books have math titles such as Algebra I and Geometry For Dummies. Cliff Notes even have math titles now. When did that start??????

I cruised the aisles at the Meijer's Store too (told you I was bored). They have cup holders on their grocery carts. I will have to check out Walmart's carts next time I'm there. Sometimes I wish I had a cup holder on the rough mower at the golf course, but I'm pretty sure my cup would bounce out.

Saw one of those column fillers in the Fort Wayne paper this past week. Said the minimum number of Amish households in Lancaster County, PA that use electricity generated by solar panels is around 2000. Interesting.......

Heard on the radio this AM that the time change is only 3 weeks away. That surprised me.

Sold a 2.5 liter (that's a big one) Corning Ware casserole to a lady in Canada a few days ago. Her email asked me to mail ASAP cause she broke her mom's borrowed one. The shipping was $32.00 to Canada, so I tend to believe her. Me & eBay provide solutions to all sorts of problems.

Another one of those newspaper fillers say that York Peppermint Patties is moving all their production to Mexico this week. I'm pretty sure 100% of Dum Dum suckers and most of Spangler's Candy Canes are still being made right here in Bryan. If you had a candy cane this past holiday season, it was probably from Spangler's. When the wind is right I can smell peppermint, orange, pineapple or whatever other flavor they are making at the time.

Sky is getting dark again -- probably another snow band.
