Life Changing Discovery !

Driving a big mower is every bit as glamorous and exciting as it seems. But after today, I am beginning to realize that it isn't the career that is going to get me out into the world so I can experience new and exciting things every day. This is my 4th summer driving and I don't seem to get very far. I carried my portable GPS for a week a couple summers ago and I found out that I drive 80-90 miles cutting the rough, but I always seem to end up where I started.

Today I discovered something new and possibly life changing. The Country Club has a pretty good deal for employee lunches. Since I'm pretty tired of the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches I have been eating for lunch the last few summers, I have been taking advantage of the club's offer. Today's special was a chicken salad wrap, fries and a fruit cup. The portions are very generous. Today, Anita, the cook, asked me if I wanted chips, fries, curly fries, onion rings, onion petals, smiley fries and a couple other choices that I have forgotten. I had to ask what smiley fries were since I had never heard of them. I learned about onion petals last summer. She opened the freezer and showed me. They are about 1-1/2" dia by about 1/4" thick potato disks with eyes and a smile cut out. Since I was in my usual adventuresome, devil may care mood at the time, I chose the smiley fries. Then I told her about the internet lady in the yellow dress with the smiley face underwear that showed through her dress. Anita almost laughed herself to tears.

I have to wonder what other wonderful, gastronomical delicacies of the world I am missing out on. I wonder if McDonald's has smiley fries in their Happy Meals.
