Misc Cow Ramblins

I attended an auction in Napoleon yesterday. I should have stayed home or went to a different auction. There was only one item I was interested in and I didn't feel like waiting till they got to it. While traveling east on US 6 to Napoleon, I noticed several herds of cows. For whatever reason, I also noticed that they were lined up in an east-west direction. This past winter I read several articles on the net and in newspapers that cows tended to line up in a north-south direction. Scientists were supposedly attempting to figure out why the north-south direction. I don't recall global warming/climate change or George W. Bush being mentioned as a possible cause. No one is ever gonna ask me, but if they would, I would mention the very strong, cool, all day westerly winds just might have had something to do with it. Who or what wouldn't position themselves in a position of least resistance if they could ? ? ?
