Ramblin Again . . .

It has been a dark, dreary, drizzly day. Not doing much for my Seasonal Affective Disorder. Poor Will's Farmland News Almanack says the Seasonal Affective Disorder Index (which measures on a scale of 1-75, the forces that contribute to S.A.D.) will climb into the the 60's this week, increasing the likelihood of depression and irritability in those susceptible to such disorders. It goes on to say the the December 2 full moon is expected to cause a dramatic rise in S.A.D. symptoms. If those nice people in the crisp white uniforms come get me, I wonder if they will let me blog from the institution . . .

The sign at the local Arby's says they will open at 4 AM for Black Friday. I wonder what kind of specials they are going to offer. Don't think I'm gonna check 'em out . . . those nice people in the crisp white uniforms will probably be there too.

It occurred to me today that I don't think I've seen a deer since the first week in November at the golf course. It was something. There were more deer than golfers. . . and the deer were running all over the place doing all sorts of things. They were definitely not shy about showing themselves.

Replaced the suet cake at the bird feeder first thing this AM. Wasn't long till I saw a downy woodpecker helping himself.
