The first significant snowfall of December and this winter has come and gone.
It wasn't anything to get excited or upset about, unless you found yourself involved in a 'fender bender.' Salt trucks were out and I will be surprised if any snow is visible by nightfall.
I've done very well with playing the 'Gasoline Slot Machines' around here so far this week. Yesterday AM, I put $15.00 in my truck @ $2.74 per gallon. Later in the day gas went up to $2.89. After my monthly chiropractor appt. in Archbold this AM, I went by the Circle K and noticed that their gas was $2.64!!! I got in line and filled my tank to the top!! It was still $2.89 in Bryan this AM. I watch the price of crude and try to time my purchases. When gasoline is high, I only buy $10-15 worth. I fill my tank when it is cheaper. I call this 'dollar-cost averaging.' Sometimes I come out ahead and sometimes I don't. Who needs to go to Detroit or Windsor to play the slots when you can put your credit card in the slot on the gas pump right here ???
