Had to go to Archbold this PM. It is a couple towns east of Bryan. Gas was $3.85 when I left Bryan and it was still $3.85 when I got back.
This was the price of gasoline in Archbold today. I wasted no time filling up. Can't remember when gas was that low anywhere.
I go by this sign in Archbold almost every time I am there. Today I noticed it. I like the name. Wonder how they came up with that name.
There is a 'No Name St.' in Holmes County. Can't recall the name of the town right now. I posted the photo way back when in my blog. Probably under travel. I think having either street in your address would be neat . . .
When I got home I mowed the front yard . . . I find mowin my yard a difficult thing to do at times. I mow all day at the golf course. It is about the only thing I do. My mower cuts an 11 ft. swath. My mower at home cuts 22 inches . . . The larger tires on the golf course mower are about 18 inches wide . . . Are ya startin to understand my mowin problem ??? Anyway, after I got past the mowin, I planted my sunflower seeds.
I never have much luck with sunflowers. This year, I'm tryin something different. I decided to 'scar' the seeds with sandpaper. Hard shelled seeds sprout easier if ya do that. Then I put them tween a couple pieces of wet paper towels for a few days. All but a couple sprouted. I punched holes in the ground and dropped a sprout in the holes. I'll keep ya posted on how they do.
