Macrophotography . . .

Yesterday was one of those days that I'm not sure what I want to do.  When you are retired, you have a lot of those kind of days.  I decided to get my Panasonic Lumix FZ35 digital camera out and try some macrophotography.  Macrophotography is close-up photography, usually of very small subjects.  My FZ35 is a higher end point and shoot camera with many shooting modes and allows me to set some settings manually.  I used the macro setting for these shots.  I didn't use a tripod, which is obvious in some of the shots.  Even lighting was a problem.  Below are a few of the better shots.

watch

An antique pocket watch.

rice

Brown rice kernals.

wheels

Wooden wheels, about 3/4" diameter in real life.

quarters

Lots of problems with glare when shooting shiny objects.
