I went to 16 garage sales this morning. I made 3 purchases. The best purchase was a couple chocolate chip cookies from little Melanie. They were 2 for 50 cents. Since she gave me her charming, award winning smile, I told her to keep the change. Mom had to prompt her to say "thank you," but that was ok.
Seems like all I have to blog about lately are garage sales. The Merry Lake sales are Saturday. I like the lake sales. I can hit 30-40 or more sales in a couple hours. The Lake Su-Ann and Nettle Lake sales are coming up soon.
The only other thing that comes to mind are the gas prices. They have been stuck on 3.60 for a couple weeks here in Bryan. I was to an auction near Defiance last weekend. Gas was 3.40 there. Prices started dropping to 3.55 on Sunday. Weekend price changes don't happen often. Tuesday they dropped some more to 3.49. Then on Wednesday evening I noticed 3.43. Decided to gas up the MINI on Thursday morning. There was a slight increase to 3.75!!!!! Needless to say I did not gas up the MINI.
