Despite its small size, Jewell does have an impressive skyline . . . It was rainin when I took this through the windshield.
And a nice sign in the middle of town . . . at the stop sign . . .
The sale was advertised as a 10 AM start. I got there at about 9:45. As you can see, I wasn't one of the first to get there. I get to the garage and I see 4 pieces of Corning Ware and 3 Pyrex Mixing bowls on the table that the money takin lady was usin. That meant they were sold. I'm thinkin "Crap, probably one of those dreaded, little blue-haired ladies got there before I did and went back into the garage for more. I fought my way through the aisles and found a Corning Ware Blue Cornflower pie plate that was missed. I grabbed it. They re-sell pretty well. I saw a couple other items interested me. I really need to get one of those new fangeled 4G iphones or whatever they are called. That way I could dial up eBay and see how the item in question is sellin.
So I make my way to the money takin lady to pay for my pie plate. She glances at it, then at the Corning Ware on the table and asks if that stuff was mine also. I said, "No, I but I wish it was." The ladies in earshot got a good laugh at my expense. Not all of them had that blue hair, if you know what I mean. I'm glad I wasn't in Bryan, but then I don't know exactly how far the network of those dreaded little blue-haired ladies stretches. I hate losin to them!!
The rain has put a stop to the fall harvest. I doubt that there are many acres of beans left. I really like farm machinery on tracks. Don't know why, I just do . . .
There were more than a couple photogenic barns in that part of the county. Gotta come back when the weather is better.
